2007
This will be a short page. The year started out with the Daytona still in pieces from the "birthday bash" in September. I was having trouble finding a set of rear wheels. The fiberglass repair was slow, outside in the winter does not work well. Everything else was gone through and we fired the car in early March. By this time I was getting calls that my step mother's health was failing and she was in and out of the hospital in Hemet - 500 miles away. I attended the March Meet as a spectator and had to head home early. A lot of my spare time was spent driving back and forth to Hemet. I had a cackle show at the local high school scheduled on my father's birthday - May 18. The kids really liked the car. The first weekend in June I had another show with one of the local car clubs. The night before I got a call from the hospital in Hemet, they said I needed to come right away. Pete Jensen and a few guys did the show for me. I got to talk to my step mother when I got to the hospital, she was not doing well. She had some difficulties that night, the doctors had to place her on a ventilator and put her in a medicated coma. The doctors estimated it would be three days before they could say what would be next. I came back home because I had business in Salt Lake City. Late in the week while in SLC she and I talked again. I told her I was comming to Hemet when I got home, she kept saying she was going to die. She passed away father's day, two hours before my flight left to visit her. Most of the rest of the year has been spent taking care of the estate business.
Bob Godfrey did manage to get the Daytona body back in shape with a shiny new paint job. We will be spending the rest of the year getting ready for 2008, I hope it is better than the last two years.
I will try to write some more and get pictures up soon.

This is our new paint job, Still waiting on the graphics. Picture thanks to Darr Hawthorn, Jeff Utterback, Jeff Gaynor and DRO.
