More 2008

Tucson would be the first real test. Adolph back in the seat after a ten year vacation and Jeff looking to see what the Daytona could handle. Tucson was a two pass match race. Both passes were good, no damage, but there was still something amiss. Jim and Alan parted the team as we decided what direction we were headed for the rest of the year. After a couple of months discussing things, we decided to put our efforts toward the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals in Boise.

Mike Halstead was tagged to take over the driving duties. One final license pass put him in the seat. On the way to Boise the crew stopped in Salt Lake City for a couple of competition laps. Mike has many years in alcohol cars and has tested for another nitro funny car team as well as the AA/FD of John Blanchard.

Boise - nice to return. We are always met with a tremendous wind storm and fantastic fans that pack the stands. Some day I'd just like to watch.

Saturday we set the track speed record and broke a bottom chassis rail. The guys at the track were great. They got us fixed up before our second and final qualifier. We qualified 5th and went on to win two rounds over Jack Harris and Jeff Bennett. A very good time.
